If you have enjoyed a TaikOz performance and would like learn how to play the awe-inspiring taiko, join members of TaikOz for a 90 minute 'Taiko is for Everyone' drumming workshop in Sydney. Enjoy this unique experience that will allow you to feel the awesome power of the taiko, the vitality of the rhythm and the fun of making music in a group.

Taiko playing requires great energy and teamwork, as well as total integration of one's mind, body and spirit. In our workshop you will be led through a unique team working experience that will energise, stimulate and excite. Our workshops are run by TaikOz members who are all highly trained performers and teachers.

The music of the taiko drums pulsate through your body - its expression is primal and earthy. Taiko drumming is also great exercise. It is a musical activity that is challenging and fun, and offers wonderful benefits like reducing stress, aiding relaxation and inviting personal expression.

WORKSHOP DATES

Our workshops run for 90 minutes and are held at our Dojo (studio) at 42 Wattle St, Ultimo in Sydney.

Taiko drumming workshops are for one and all! Prior musical training is not a requirement - just bring your Mind, Body and Spirit!

This workshop is the perfect stepping stone into our TaikOz School, where you can continue your training in the Art of Wadaiko on a weekly basis. Want to try an 8-week Beginners course and develop your taiko skills in a fun and friendly environment? Our Beginners classes run Thursday 7.30pm - 9pm and Saturday 10.00am - 11.30am and follow the NSW Schools timetable. Term 3 classes will begin in July 2013.
