NEWS UPDATE                                              

We've now finished our last performances for the year... and what a year its been! Dubbed 'The Year Of Collaboration', TaikOz has enjoyed working with some incredible artists in 2009. We have many happy memories of some great projects with a wide range of superb musicians, colleagues and friends: a happy reunion with the Sydney Symphony in Maki Ishii's 'Mono-Prism'; four unforgettable concerts with Kodo; no less than 64 performances of Shakespeare's 'Pericles' with the superb Bell Shakespeare Company; a one-off, but highly memorable concert with William Barton; and challenging new music with Topology, Karak Percussion, Riley Lee and composer David Pye who gave us a wonderful and significant new piece of music, 'pravachambalam'. Many thanks to all of you for making 2009 such a happy, stimulating and great year of music-making.
