NEWS UPDATE                                              

After recent tours of "Shifting Sand", TaikOz is currently in work-shop and training mode with two important events appearing on the horizon. Firstly, pulse:heart:beat is premiering at the Sydney Town Hall on July 11 and will be a veritable feast of rhythm, sound and energy. TaikOz will be presenting two pieces by Ian Cleworth - "Clouds Wander" for soprano saxophone and taiko trio (featuring Sandy Evans) and a brand new work entitled "House Music" for the full ensemble. The second project sees TaikOz off to Japan in August for Oni Kenbai training under the guidance of Kodo's Yoshikazu Fujimoto and the original Oni Kenbai masters in Kitakami, Iwate-ken. Very exciting indeed! So, back to the dojo...
