WELCOME TO OUR CLASSES PAGE

Scroll down for descriptions and information about classes and online booking.

By joining our community class program for adults and children you will have the opportunity to experience and explore the wonderful music and fascinating history and concepts behind the art of wadaiko. We're sure you will enjoy making music with other people and receive a good physical workout at the same time!

In Sydney, TaikOz holds taiko classes on every day of the week over four terms during the year. Most sessions run for 1.5 hours and follow a set curriculum, including technical instruction in striking the taiko, studying practice pieces, as well as practicing movement and dance, as well as song. History and conceptual ideas are also covered over the course of the term.

When you join, you will start to develop skills in music making as well as doing the most important thing - having a great time! We have a basic guide to our classes below that can help you choose the one that will fit you best, but remember, you are welcome to join any of our classes.

No matter which class you choose, you're very welcome at the TaikOz School.
