INTERMEDIATE II

MONDAY 7.30 - 9PM

This is a fast-paced, action-packed class that loves moving quickly. Continuing to develop and build on basic skills is an important component in this class. We will also develop improvisation and solo skills, culminating in the option to develop skills in extended solo playing.

As basic skills, strength and stamina grow, we will be learning and refining a piece of music composed by TaikOz. Working on a challenging piece of music allows students to build skills in stroke, breath, endurance, musicality and playing as a group - all fundamental skills that started with Beginners.

 

WEDNESDAY 7.30 - 9PM

Wednesday Intermediate II class will continue to develop, expand and build upon basic taiko skills utilising a variety of taiko styles. In Term 2 particular emphasis will be given to improvising on shimedaiko, nagadô and ôdaiko, as well as exploring triple-meter rhythms.

It will move at quite a fast pace, so bring lots of energy!
