Hiro Hayashida's Katsugi Okedo Workshops

Author: ICle

Date: Mon 23 May 2016

Wow! What a great weekend we've just experienced, courtesy of katsugi okedo virtuoso Hiro Hayashida. Taikoz Class Members had the wonderful opportunity to spend 6 intense hours with Hiro. From the basics of grip, stroke, stance and movement, the sessions progressed at a fast rate moving into the finer points of bachi technique and movement, as well as more complex rhythmic work. Hiro was engaging, inspiring and fun to be with; a man of incredible skill and knowledge, he was only too happy to share it with us all. Thanks to all of the players for participating and to Hayashida-sensei for visiting us Down Under. We look forward to next time!
