For the past few months we've had to keep this under wraps, but we're now able to let everyone know that Taikoz will be performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in their 2018 season! February 22-24 to be precise. And not only that, the program will feature our own shakuhachi extraordinaire Riley Lee, plus old friend and colleague, shinobue/taiko virtuoso Kaoru Watanabe, direct from New York. The combined sonic forces of taiko, flutes and symphony orchestra will all be brought together courtesy of a newly commissioned work by young Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth. We're thrilled to be working with Lachlan over the coming months as he begins the composition process. And not only that, but music by Ian, Kaoru and Riley will also be performed in new arrangements that will include members of the SSO, too! Exciting stuff to continue with after our 20th Anniversary celebration concert on October 21 at Angel Place (
