Congratulations to Taikoz members Sophia Ang & Ryuji Hamada for being selected to perform Ichibanniwa (Onikenbai) at this year's Kitakami Michinoku Geino Matsuri! Here they are with Onikenbai Club member Sam Newton who herself was invited to perform on shinobue as part of the annual Sakura Hall performance. Club member Claire Boyle also played the taiko at a performance at the Onikenbai museum - a great honour and privilege for all of them!

From the 1970s when Riley was training with Iwasaki Onikenbai Hozonkai as part of Ondekoza, to Anton being the first Taikoz member to perform at Kitakami Matsuri & Sakura Hall in 2010, and then to Kevin & Tom who subsequently did the same, we're very proud of their achievements and what they all bring back to Taikoz in experience, knowledge, skills & ongoing friendships... priceless.
