Looking for three days of taiko, shakuhachi, shinobue, dance, singing and more? Then our Intensive is for you! Held annually in January, often outside of Sydney in a country setting, the Intensive involves up to 1o hours of playing each day. Taikoz invites a special guest artist of international renown to each Intensive – a unique and often once in a lifetime opportunity for students to learn from such esteemed artists. The course is open to players with a minimum of 6 months experience.
Participants are guaranteed to have a truly intense experience – one that will challenge and inspire, and leave you wanting more!
Previous guest artists include Tsubasa Hori, Ryutaro Kaneko, Kaoru Watanabe, Kenny Endo, Yoshikazu Fujimoto, and Hase Mikita. Areas of learning have included yokouchi-daiko, katsugi okedo, shinobue, O-Edobayashi, odaiko, and Onikenbai.
Taikoz is proud to announce Intensive 2016 guest artist Tiffany Tamaribuchi. A musician of outstanding credentials in the world of taiko, Tiffany is known for her incredible skills as an educator. She will be appearing for the first time in Australia, and we are looking forward to offering another variety-packed Intensive for you next January.
