Come along to the next 4-week "Hour of Power" block, on Friday nights 7.30 - 8.30pm. We kick off this Friday 4th May and can't wait! Hope to see you there.

The very characters that make up the word taiko (太鼓) – 太 (tai) ‘fat’ or ‘big around’ and 鼓 (ko) ‘drum’ – aptly describe the look, sound and feel of our beautiful instruments. Taking that as our inspiration, let’s make a big, fat sound together on Friday evenings at 7:30pm. Come and join us for an ‘Hour Of Power’ as we explore the energy, drama and excitement of the Big Drums!
‘Hour Of Power’ will be offered throughout the year in blocks of 4 weeks. Each 4-week block of sessions will focus on a particular taiko and style.
Booking is for 4 consecutive sessions, at a cost of $30 | $20 concession per week
Next Series: YATAIBAYASHI. We will be focussing on the nagado part, although the shimedaiko bass rhythm will be included in the sessions.
