After a 12-hour, non-stop trip from the grunge of urban Sydney to the pristine environs of Victoria's Macedon Ranges, Taikoz rolled into the beautiful hamlet of Kyneton for a schools concert and evening performance last Friday. Blessed with an old-fashioned rake stage, Kyneton's small but perfectly formed 380-seat Town Hall was a treat to play in. A warm reception from a full-house of enthusiastic locals, plus a few Melbourne out-of-towners, made up for the long trip down - and back! The group played a one-hour - but still intense - program that featured Anton's catchy "Rhythm River", Ian's dramatic "Awakening" and Tiffany Tamaribuchi's short and spectacular "Kokorozashi".
Taikoz and Lingalayam are performing Chi Udaka at Singapore's Singtel Waterfront Theatre, Esplanade, on November 23-24.
