Unleash your rhythm with the Australian Taiko Academy! Our 9-week Saturday Beginner Course is the ultimate entry point for anyone curious about Japanese drumming. You don't need any musical background or prior experience to join—just bring an open mind, comfortable clothes, and a desire to make music!
Our welcoming classes focus on the technical foundations and vibrant playing styles of Taiko in a fun, high-energy environment.

Bachi (Drumsticks): Students require their own pair of bachi, available for purchase at the dojo or via our webshop.

Hearing Protection: Hearing protection is mandatory for all classes. Bring your own, or purchase reusable earplugs ($35) or disposable foam earplugs ($1.50) at the dojo.
