3-Day Workshop
Want to keep the winter chill at bay by working up a sweat? How? Simple… we’re going to focus on the essence of what we do best: Tai 太 – ‘big, fat, around’ – Ko 鼓 – “drum”!
To bring the ‘intense’ into ‘Intensive’, 17 sessions over the course of the three days will be devoted to various taiko styles, including a feature on "Hachijodaiko" - in kimono & yukata! Other sessions will focus on "An Introduction to Polyrhythm - 4:3" and "Developing Your Shimedaiko Technique".
On Friday evening we'll kick off with “Odaiko Uchikomigeiko” (drumming up a storm on the Grand Drums), followed by four sessions on Saturday and again on Sunday.
For relaxation, we’ll enjoy a meal together on Saturday night. And then when we're all totally exhausted, post-Intensive drinks on Sunday evening at The Lord Wolseley.
